Mulhouse Christmas market : the most colourful

As the cradle of the textile industry in Alsace, Mulhouse puts on its finest festive attire for Christmas! The Christmas fabric created each year to mark the occasion as a tribute to this proud heritage hangs on the facades of the huts in the Christmas market. The streets of the town centre are also decorated with this luxurious material. Mulhouse’s Christmas market is particularly appreciated for its friendly atmosphere. Located in Place de la Réunion near the church of Saint-Etienne, it includes around 100 typical Christmas huts with all the colour of a real Mulhouse Christmas!

Craftsmen and producers with their recognised know-how present local culinary specialities which are particularly popular during the festive season: foie gras, gingerbread and Bredeles compete to delight your taste buds. The Mulhouse Christmas market stands out for its colourful atmosphere, the interplay of light on the facades and the magic of the warm fabrics with which the town centre is decked out! While you're here, why not visit one of the town's many museums, including the Musée de l’Impression sur Etoffes (fabric printing museum) whose museum shop includes some superb collections.
